Technical Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to work closely with integrators, distribution partners and end-users to create and support new opportunities and internal projects. This role involves providing timely and professional issue resolution, ensuring that Hikvision's business performance and reputation are upheld.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Engaging with internal staff to support distribution partners and installers in maximizing the design, specification and utilisation of Hikvision products and solutions.
* Providing technical support via phone, email and internet regarding operational uses and issues or projects (installation, network and related technology).
* Offering on-site technical support where required in the UK and Ireland.
* Identifying and supporting training and development needs within partners and customers through sales team requests and regular consultation.
* Proactively scoping the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assessing customers' met and unmet needs, and recommending appropriate solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Hikvision.
* Coaching and developing team-members to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
* Pursuing additional business development opportunities within partners and customers leading to increased use of Hikvision products and solutions.
* Collaborating with internal staff to ensure all opportunities are effectively understood, supported and executed.
* Maintaining accurate records of customer support and alerting the sales and account teams to potential technical risks impacting deal closure.
* Assisting in designing and expanding training programs based on organisational and individual needs.
