Laing O'Rourke are looking for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Operations Specialist to take ownership of our Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms and keep them running at enterprise scale.
In this role, you will act as the senior escalation point for complex cloud issues, drive continuous service improvement, and serve as a trusted technical authority ensuring our infrastructure remains resilient, secure, and aligned with best practice.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide expert support across Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune and Entra ID.
* Manage Azure resources such as VMs, storage, VNets, load balancers and identity/security configurations.
* Ensure strong governance, compliance, patching and operational standards across M365 and Azure services.
* Monitor performance and capacity, identifying risks and driving proactive improvements.
* Lead advanced troubleshooting and collaborate closely with engineering, cyber and project teams.
What You Need:
* Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure in a large‑scale environment.
* Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID and identity/access management.
* Experience working within ITIL‑aligned incident, change and problem processes.
* Certifications such as MS‑900, MS‑102, AZ‑900 and AZ‑104, or equivalent experience.
* Strong analytical, diagnostic and communication skills.
Even Better If:
* Familiarity with SolarWinds, Nutanix, Nasuni, Commvault or Microsoft Server.
* Understanding of networking technologies including Azure Firewall, VLAN/VWAN and hybrid connectivity.
