About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our ambitious team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and the evolution of autonomous motorsports.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility with work hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly to ensure peak performance and safety.
* Dynamic Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and setup adjustments.
* Logistics Coordination: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
* Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
* Safety Stewardship: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical Mastery: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and performance optimization.
* Electronics Competency: Understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with MoTeC experience.
* Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment, demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
* Technical Qualification: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related field.
* Adaptable Mindset: Interest in autonomous driving tech and willingness to innovate in sportscar and racing contexts.
* Collaborative Spirit: Strong team player with good communication skills, ready to solve complex challenges collaboratively.
* Valid Driver's License
