Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
* Supervise, mentor, and support kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence.
* Help with the planning and preparation of menus, keeping seasonal ingredients and local produce in mind.
* Ensure smooth running of the kitchen during shifts, overseeing food preparation, and assisting in cooking where needed.
* Maintain inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies.
* Support the management of health and safety, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or high‑end restaurant.
* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and quality control.
* A creative, passionate approach to cooking and menu development.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train others.
* Good communication skills and a strong ability to work under pressure.
* A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
