 
        
        Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our existing dynamic Practice Education Facilitator team. You will support the practice education of visiting Allied Health Professional students, collaborating with University Partners in Wales and across the English border to create an effective clinical learning environment for students in Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB).
You will develop links with Powys Teaching Health Board placement areas and identify and grow new placement opportunities, reporting to PTHB and guided by local and national regulation and policy. The Multi-Professional Practice Education Facilitator (MPEF) will establish effective working relationships with service and education colleagues to support high‑quality placement learning for Allied Health Profession students.
The role links closely with practice education colleagues to facilitate placement learning across health and care settings linked to PTHB geography, in collaboration with Allied Health Profession Health Board staff, HEI programme leads, and wider stakeholders to ensure high-quality learning and to act as a positive role model for students, placement educators, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
 * Support the provision of an effective clinical learning environment for Allied Health Professional students while in Powys Teaching Health Board.
 * Develop links with existing placement areas and identify and grow new placement opportunities.
 * Establish relationships with service and education colleagues to support placement learning across health and care settings.
 * Link with Allied Health Profession Health Board staff, HEI programme leads, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality placement learning.
 * Act as a positive role model for students, placement educators, and wider stakeholders.
 * Work autonomously with excellent communication and negotiation skills in complex situations.
 * Demonstrate sound leadership and organisational skills and experience supervising and assessing healthcare students in practice settings.
 * Attend and contribute within local and national regulatory and policy frameworks relevant to placement learning.
Qualifications
 * Experience supervising and assessing healthcare students in the practice setting.
 * Ability to work autonomously with strong communication and negotiation skills.
 * Desirable: ability to speak Welsh.
 * English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.
 * Employment on Annex 21 would be considered for the right candidate who may not hold all required qualifications.
