Temporary Finance Manager
CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a long established, family‑owned business. This organisation combines commercial ambition with a people‑first culture.
The Finance Manager position offers a broad, hands‑on role within a close‑knit management team. It is suitable for a commercially minded accountant who is available immediately or on short notice.
Responsibilities
* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
* Lead year‑end accounting processes and liaise with external advisors where required.
* Build, maintain and review forecasts, including cash‑flow planning.
* Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, supplier payments and bank reconciliations.
* Manage payroll processes.
* Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE and pension submissions.
* Prepare clear monthly performance reports and work with department heads to identify and drive improvements.
Qualifications
* Well‑experienced in a senior accounting or finance manager role.
* Strong working knowledge of Xero or a similar accounting system.
* Confident use of Microsoft365, with solid Excel skills.
* A naturally inquisitive mindset with strong numerical and analytical ability.
* A positive, commercial approach with the confidence to challenge and support stakeholders.
