The role
You will take a lead role in delivering a wide range of building surveying services for private clients and local authorities, while also acting as a key fee earner and business generator within a fast‑growing team.
Responsibilities
* Develop new business relationships and expand existing client accounts
* Prepare competitive fee proposals and contribute to team revenue growth
* Deliver a broad range of professional building surveying services, including:
o Measured and building surveys (residential and commercial)
o Party Wall matters
o Specifications, tendering and contract documentation
o Contract Administration
o Dilapidations
o Defect analysis and reporting
o Licences to Alter (including monitoring and sign‑off)
o Supporting Expert Witness work, including site inspections and CPR35 reports
* Take ownership of projects, drive them forward proactively, and consistently deliver an outstanding level of service
About you
* RICS‑accredited degree in Building Surveying
* MRICS qualified
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Highly organised, detail‑focused and commercially aware
* Comfortable working with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; CAD/BIM experience advantageous)
* Motivated by excellence, leadership and long‑term career progression
