Join a growing and forward‑thinking Transmission Substation and FACTS business, contributing to key infrastructure projects that help shape the future of renewable energy. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, manage civil engineering activities from design through delivery, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Each day brings a mix of coordination, problem‑solving, stakeholder engagement, and hands‑on project management—both in the office and on‑site.
How You Will Make an Impact
1. Lead the execution of project work packages to meet safety, quality, schedule, cost, and functionality requirements.
2. Manage and procure consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the full project lifecycle.
3. Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
4. Act as Contract Administrator (NEC3/4, FIDIC, or bespoke forms), ensuring contractual compliance.
5. Coordinate subcontract documentation including scope, specifications, drawings, programme, design deliverables, reporting, and quality requirements.
6. Chair technical and progress meetings while ensuring smooth design and document flow between stakeholders and engineering teams.
What You Bring to the Role
7. Experience within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments.
8. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery practices.
9. Effective communication skills for engaging on technical and commercial topics.
10. A proactive, adaptable approach, with flexibility to work both in-office and on‑site.
11. Knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and planning regulations.
12. Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; professional chartership or progression toward it is desirable.
