This is a brand-new role created to support the Management Accountant on a day-to-day basis. This includes assisting with monthly management accounts preparation, year-end duties, system implementation projects, and various ad-hoc tasks. Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts Prepare and post month-end journals (fixed assets, accruals, prepayments) Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations Maintain and update daily cashflow records Raise sales invoices accurately and on time Carry out debt chasing to reduce aged debt Support the accounts team and oversee workload to meet internal deadlines Support the management accountant with year and audit Person Specification Fully AAT qualified and/or studying towards CIMA/ACCA Experienced working within the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential Worked within an SME as an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management accountant for at least 2 years Willingness to develop and support company growth Strong IT skills and experience withing accounting software Strong MS Excel skills (intermediate - advanced level)
