Located in Hammersmith & Fulham
Our private client in Hammersmith and Fulham is recruiting a Recovery Worker for their Public Health & Substance Use service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide structured support to individuals aiming to quit smoking, tailoring interventions to meet their personal goals and readiness for change.
* Include evaluation of smoking history, nicotine dependence, motivation to quit, triggers, and personal strengths, as well as identification of any physical or psychological risk factors.
* Safeguard service users by addressing risks related to withdrawal symptoms, co-existing mental or physical health conditions, and relapse.
Requirements:
* Degree in public health, health, psychology, or relevant health-related field.
* Willingness to complete or have already completed the NCSCT Smoking Cessation Practitioner Training and Specialty courses for practitioners shortly after appointment.
* In-depth understanding of smoking cessation (NRT, varenicline, e-cigarettes).
