Role Description
DJ Civils Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a full‑time office based position. The role involves preparing estimates, managing budgets, overseeing procurement, and conducting contracts administration. Additional responsibilities include preparing and submitting tender documents, managing subcontractors, providing cost advice, and ensuring projects are executed within budget and deadlines. Collaboration with different teams, including project managers and engineers, will be crucial to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will be reporting directly into the Commercial Manager.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and tender preparation.
* Proficiency in contract administration, including management of subcontractors and procurement processes.
* Ability to analyse and interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and construction plans.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of UK construction regulations and health and safety standards.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams in a fast‑paced environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, with Chartered Membership (RICS/CIOB) being advantageous.
* Proficiency in industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and cost estimation tools is preferred.
