Workshop Technician – PrestonFull-Time 42.5 hours per week
We are a market leader within our industry, building special purpose vehicles, and we’re looking for a qualified mechanic ideally with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics to join our team of skilled technicians.
About the RoleAs a Workshop Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service and repairs in a busy workshop environment. You’ll work independently and as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain our reputation for excellence. While primarily workshop-based, you must be willing to attend field service work when required.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all types of service repairs efficiently and to the highest standards.
Diagnose faults and provide cost-effective technical solutions.
Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a professional image.
Occasionally attend on-site jobs when required.Essential Skills & Experience
Qualified mechanic or time served
Experience with special purpose vehicles (e.g., forklifts, plant equipment, cranes) is ideal
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Customer and quality focused
Knowledge of diesel and electric engines
Reasonably clean driving licence (essential)
Willingness to travel for field service work when required
Candidates with HGV, forklift, or mobile plant experience have extremely transferable skills and are strongly encouraged to apply
