Through innovation, science, technology, and maintaining a clear focus on people, we make mobility possible.</p><p>We have an excellent opportunity for a<strong> Health & Safety Manager </strong>to manage Health & Safety and Facilities activities across our two Basingstoke sites, along with our clinics across the Southern region.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As<strong> Health & Safety Manager, </strong>you will ensure that Blatchford buildings, infrastructure, plant, and services across the Southern region are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.</p><p>You will support the Directors and Senior Leadership team in delivering the business strategy, driving consistency and cost effectiveness through national facilities contracts, promoting a strong health, safety and compliance culture across the organisation.</p><ul><li>Leading Health & Safety activities across the Southern region, ensuring compliance with Blatchford H&S policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation.</li><li>Planning, organising, and delivering appropriate Health & Safety training and awareness programmes.</li><li>Managing Occupational Health surveillance arrangements, including coordination, record-keeping, and follow-up actions.</li><li>Maintaining Group H&S systems, folders, technical libraries, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Developing, implementing, and managing facilities strategies, infrastructure plans, and lifecycle asset plan</li><li>Line management responsibility for Facilities Technicians based in Basingstoke</li><li>Supporting facilities and HSE colleagues across our other sites in Sheffield, USA, Germany, Norway, and Joint Ventures.</li><li>Managing and coordinating statutory and service contracts</li><li>Leading and managing building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and facilities compliance activities.</li><li>Managing construction projects, refurbishments, equipment relocations, renovations, and new builds as required.</li><li>Managing contractors and suppliers, ensuring RAMS are reviewed, permits issued, performance monitored, and standards maintained.</li><li>Support effective budget setting and financial planning for HSE and Facilities-related cost centres.</li><li>Driving cost savings while maintaining service quality and legal compliance.</li></ul><p><strong>What can we offer you?</strong></p><p>As<strong> Health & Safety Manager, </strong>you will receive the following:</p><ul><li>Highly completive salary</li><li>25 days holiday (rising with service)</li><li>Lunch time finish on a Friday</li><li>Option to purchase additional holiday.</li><li>Pension</li><li>Death in Service</li><li>On demand pay.</li><li>Discounted shopping and leisure activities</li><li>Health cash plan</li><li>Cycle to work scheme</li></ul><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>To be considered for the<strong> Health & Safety Manager </strong>role you will have the following:</p><p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>NEBOSH Qualification</li><li>Demonstrated successful delivery of health and safety management across a diverse multi-site organisation</li><li>Experience within manufacturing/production environment.</li><li>Experience of effective budget management</li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Highly organised and structured</li><li>Innovative and strategic thinker</li><li>A strong communicator with a ‘can-do’ attitude and positive, flexible approach to the role</li><li>Full driving license and willing to travel in UK, Europe, and the USA, occasionally at short notice.</li></ul><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team, within a unique environment and contribute to the success of our award-winning organisation.</p><p>If you feel like you meet the above criteria for this exciting<strong> Health & Safety Manager </strong>opportunity, then please apply now!</p>
