Job Title: Art / DT Technician - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, Bromley)
Location: Various Secondary Schools across Bromley
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (5 days per week)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
About the Role
As an Art / DT Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers and students across the Art and Design Technology departments. You\'ll help prepare materials, maintain equipment, and create an engaging and inspiring learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
* Supporting teachers during art, graphics, or workshop-based sessions
* Maintaining and organising classroom resources and stock levels
* Ensuring all tools and equipment are safely stored and in good working order
* Assisting students in developing their practical skills and creativity
* Contributing to displays and exhibitions of student work
About You
We are seeking someone who is:
* Creative, practical, and detail-oriented
* Confident working with a range of art and DT tools, materials, and technologies
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* A great communicator who enjoys supporting students and teachers alike
* Safety-conscious and able to follow school policies and procedures
Previous experience as an Art or DT Technician, or in a similar educational or creative environment, is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
