We are currently seeking a part-time Health Care Assistant to provide companionship care for a 94-year-old female client in Byfleet, Surrey.
This is an ad hoc position, primarily covering shifts when the permanent caregiver is on annual leave. It offers flexible hours, ideal for someone seeking work during school hours and holidays.
Our client is mobile and independent but requires consistent and routine support to manage her anxiety. She also enjoys daily visits from her family dog.
The shifts are Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
While experience is preferred, candidates with valid certificates and training will have an added advantage.
Requirements:
* Valid DBS
* Valid Drivers License and Own Vehicle (preferred)
Duties Care and support
Companionship.
Give non-discriminatory care and support that values the diverse and unique qualities of the client. Carefully listen and observe how the client prefer their care and support to be delivered on a day to day basis. Help them make their own decisions and to be as independent as possible.
Follow instructions in the care and support plan which has been agreed with each client. This may include:
* Light housework
* Answering the door and greeting visitors
* Taking the client out walking during the morning
* Hobbies and recreations such as reading, photo albums, games etc
* Hospital appointments, medication collection
Recording and reporting
* Recording and Reporting: Accurately documenting and reporting all relevant client information, such as care and support provided, medication assistance, changes in condition or other concerns.
* Report faulty equipment or hazards, emergency responses, safeguarding matters, and contact with family or other professionals.
* All client information must be kept secure and confidential.
