Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years? We’re working with a welcoming nursery setting that is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team and support the development of young children in their crucial early learning stages.
About the Role:
As a Nursery TA, you will play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, confident, and ready to explore the world around them. You will support the room leader and other staff with daily routines, learning activities, and care needs, helping to lay the foundations for future learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting children aged 0–5 in their daily learning and play activities
2. Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
3. Helping with feeding, toileting, and general personal care as required
4. Observing and recording children’s progress and reporting back to key workers or room leaders
5. Creating a safe and engaging learning environment, indoors and outdoors
6. Supporting children with varying needs, including those with SEND
What We’re Looking For:
7. Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent)
8. Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting
9. A warm, patient, and caring approach to working with young children
10. Good understanding of the EYFS framework
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
