We have both full-time and flexible supply opportunities available. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils within the ALN (Additional Learning Needs) base, as well as assisting learners as they integrate into mainstream classrooms. You will play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential. The Role Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs Assist pupils within the ALN base and during mainstream lessons Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities Help implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation Promote inclusion and independence We Are Looking For Candidates Who: Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential) Are patient, nurturing, and resilient Can build positive and trusting relationships Are confident supporting pupils with varying needs Have strong communication and teamwork skills Are adaptable and proactive Desirable Experience & Skills (ALN-Focused) Experience supporting pupils with: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties Understanding of trauma-informed practice Knowledge of behaviour management strategies Experience delivering interventions or targeted support programmes Familiarity with Individual Development Plans (IDPs) or EHCPs Team Teach or other positive handling training (desirable but not essential) Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent) What Teaching Personnel Offers: Flexible working to suit your availability Competitive weekly pay Ongoing CPD and training opportunities Dedicated consultant support Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment If you are passionate about supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs and want to make a genuine impact in Llantwit Major, we would love to hear from you.
