Overview
The Customer Support Administrator at GB Railfreight works closely with the Intermodal Customer Service Team and Delivery Manager to ensure that our trains are filled to maximum capacity by undertaking commercial administrative duties.
You must have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with requests from customers and suppliers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with customers to ensure bookings are placed on the system, customers are issued with relevant reference numbers, and receive confirmation of arrivals and departures. Stock management as per customer requirements is also required.
* Manage, organise, and update data on various systems including but not limited to destin8, TOPS, Paris, COMA, and SCORPIO.
* Interrogate data on live systems and review bookings versus actual delivery using train lists.
* Identify potential issues with containers and communicate these to relevant parties for timely resolution.
* Plan the movement of containers from road haulage to third-party depots.
* Manage additional charge notifications as necessary.
* Upload interchange reports and attach them to the correct files.
Qualifications

This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure bookings are accurate and arranged promptly. The role is fast-paced, so the ability to prioritise and multitask while maintaining accuracy is essential.
Strong communication skills are necessary as you will handle requests from customers and suppliers daily. We seek someone who will go the extra mile to exceed expectations.
Experience with railway operations and TOPS is desirable, but full training will be provided.
