The Splunk Presale Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for driving the technical sales process and ensuring customers fully understand the value of our Splunk solutions. This individual will work closely with the sales team, customers, and partners to identify opportunities, address technical challenges, and position our solutions effectively. Key Responsibilities Technical Sales Leadership Lead and support the sales team in driving the technical sales process. Develop and deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical proposals. Assist in identifying customer needs and mapping them to Splunk solutions. Customer Engagement Work directly with customers to understand their business and technical requirements. Provide expert guidance on solution architecture and best practices for Splunk implementations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations. Solution Design and Validation Collaborate with customers to design customized Splunk solutions that meet their specific needs. Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to validate the proposed solutions. Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and meet performance requirements. Partner Collaboration Work with Splunk partners to understand their capabilities and leverage their expertise. Coordinate with partners to deliver joint solutions and services to customers. Provide technical training and support to partners to enhance their ability to sell and implement Splunk solutions. Market and Product Expertise Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry and within Splunk's product portfolio. Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on customer and market insights. Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2. Professional Experience 5 years of experience in a presales, technical sales, or solutions engineering role, preferably with a focus on Splunk. Proven track record of successfully leading technical sales engagements and closing deals. Strong understanding of IT operations, security, and data analytics. Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of Splunk products, including Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk Enterprise Security. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies. Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure. Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently. Additional Information Travel Requirements Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers, attend conferences, and support sales activities.
