You'll join one of the UK's leading Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancies, working on a diverse range of projects with a particular focus on the rail sector. The Role
As an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, helping clients understand ground conditions, manage risk and develop safe, practical engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing high-quality geotechnical interpretative reports
Developing and interpreting ground models
Undertaking geotechnical assessments for earthworks, slopes and associated infrastructure
Carrying out Preliminary Risk Assessments and Mining Risk Assessments
Reviewing technical reports, drawings and calculations
Supervising ground investigations and site works
Supporting project and contract management activities
Managing programme, budget and quality requirements
Attending client meetings and technical discussions
Supporting business development and framework opportunities
Mentoring junior engineers and geologists
You'll have the opportunity to combine technical expertise, site experience and client interaction while working on projects that deliver tangible benefits to the UK's transport infrastructure.
About You
You'll likely be an Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical professional who enjoys technical problem solving and wants to continue developing their career within a consultancy environment.
Your experience may include:
Ground investigation planning, supervision and reporting
Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIRs)
Ground modelling and geotechnical assessments
Earthworks inspections and reporting
Mining Risk Assessments and Preliminary Risk Assessments
Geotechnical design and analysis
Rail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
Site supervision and contractor management
You'll ideally hold a degree in Geology or a related discipline and may already be working towards Chartered status or recently achieved professional accreditation.
