Your new role As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting within a fast‑paced shared services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their career and keen to progress, gaining hands‑on exposure to month‑end, statutory reporting, and financial controls.Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts Monitoring departmental budgets and ensuring compliance with internal controls Assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities Completing weekly bank reconciliations and contributing to cashflow forecasting Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation Preparing management and statutory account information Responding to accounting queries and assisting system users Carrying out compliance checks and resolving issues as required Contributing to a positive, safety‑focused and inclusive team culture Actively developing your knowledge of accounting standards and internal processes This role offers excellent exposure to a multinational finance function and provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to an organisation that makes a meaningful global impact. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in securing this position, you will need:Essential Criteria: A university degree or vocational equivalent in a finance‑related discipline 6-12 months undergraduate work experience as part of a placement or structured programme Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines A proactive, enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn High attention to detail and a professional communication style This role is designed as a developmental position, so no prior management experience is required.
