Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of students with SEN Provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring students are engaged and progressing Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student feels valued Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents as required Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with SEN Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Ability to establish trust and rapport with students and colleagues Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or education (desirable but not essential) Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student development Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
