SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Primary School

Hours: Full-time
Pay: £100-£110 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) primary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to access education and thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and engage in learning
Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored support
Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management strategies
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting with personal development, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or SEND
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively
Team player with a proactive attitude
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children Desirable (but not essential):
Team Teach or other behaviour management training
Experience in a PRU or alternative provision
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology degree) What We Offer:
