About the role
As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you\'ll play a key role in delivering building management systems from pre-commissioning through to final handover. Working across multiple projects, you\'ll commission BMS panels, software, graphics, and associated M&E plant in line with approved specifications and drawings. You\'ll work closely with project managers, design teams, and fellow engineers to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.
Responsibilities
* Commission BMS control panels, peripherals, and third-party equipment on site.
* Conduct off-site panel inspections and BMS software/graphics tests.
* Load, test, and verify software and graphics to ensure functionality aligns with contract documentation.
* Attend commissioning meetings and witness testing on site.
* Maintain accurate commissioning records, daily work logs, and as-built documentation.
* Support project managers in identifying additional works and ensuring commercial recovery.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Skills & Experience
* Technical qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering to ONC/HNC standard or above.
* Sound knowledge of BMS systems including Schneider, Trend, Distech, and Tridium/Delta.
* Familiarity with industry standards (BS7671, CIBSE, BSRIA guides).
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
* CSCS card holder and full UK driving licence.
* Proactive, diligent, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
