Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic business in the Rotherham area as they look to recruit an established Assistant Accountant with hands-on purchasing experience into their team.
Reporting to and supporting the Finance Manager, you will be joining a small friendly team, as a pivotal role within the finance and operations team. The role will be predominantly finance-focused but will also hold responsibility for some of the buying activities. They are looking for a team player who is keen to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, with strong Excel skills and the ability to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities include:
* Monthly Stock Controls
* Monthly Stock Costings
* Prepayments/Accruals
* Fixed Assets
* HR/Payroll
* Posted Journals /Cashbook/Petty Cash Reconciliations
* Assisting with development of spreadsheets
* Preparation of Management and Annual accounts
* Adhoc Reporting to Group
* Filing of National Statistics
* VAT Returns including Reconciliation
* Generating purchase orders
* Tracking stock and managing budgets
* Managing order book and scheduling
* Maintaining communication with other departments
* Maintaining Commodity/Import codes
* Reporting to Group
* Admin of import documents and liaising with clearing agents
* Basic administrative duties
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in an all-round accounts role
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
