Job Overview:
The Junior Regulatory Business Analyst will support the delivery of complex managed-services projects covering multiple international transaction and regulatory reporting regimes. The role contributes to project implementation, operational readiness, data analysis, and documentation while working closely with senior SMEs and project teams to ensure accurate interpretation of global reporting rules (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, MAS, ASIC, SFTR, CFTC) and effective project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support project delivery activities for managed-services regulatory reporting implementations across multiple global regimes.
* Perform regulatory analysis by reviewing reporting rules, validation requirements, and technical specifications under guidance from senior SMEs.
* Assist with transaction data analysis, rule mapping, reporting gap identification, and testing support for regulatory reporting engines or managed reporting services.
* Contribute to requirement gathering, functional documentation, workflow process diagrams, and project artifacts.
* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), reconciliation analysis, issue investigation, and evidence preparation.
* Maintain clear documentation of regulatory interpretations, data lineage, field mapping, and control logic.
* Participate in cross-team discussions to support implementation, operations, and product teams with project insights and analysis tasks.
About You:
* 0–1 years' experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial services, or regulatory reporting support.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to review rules and translate them into structured business or data requirements.
* Basic understanding of financial instruments, securities, derivatives, or trade reporting (beneficial but not mandatory).
* Comfortable working with datasets using Excel, CSV, SQL (basic-intermediate), or similar tools.
* Strong documentation and communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while escalating questions appropriately.
