Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry, working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail. Previous experience in food and beverage service is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
* Ensure all drinks are made to company standards and served promptly
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and customer area
* Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing excellent guest service at all times
* Upsell additional products to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures in accordance with health regulations
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
* Engage with guests in a friendly manner, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and courtesy
Skills
* Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
* Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash management
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
* Experience in upselling products to enhance sales opportunities
* Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
* Organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health regulations
