Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Care Home Administrator to oversee the daily administrative operations within our care facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication, efficient record-keeping, and effective management of administrative tasks. Duties
* Managing all administrative functions within the care home, including filing, data entry, and record management
* Handling incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
* Maintaining accurate resident records and updating information using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and specialised software such as QuickBooks
* Assisting with scheduling appointments, staff rotas, and resident activities
* Processing invoices, billing, and other financial documentation efficiently
* Supporting the management team with report generation and correspondence
* Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations by securely managing sensitive information
* Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes as required
* Providing general clerical support to staff members to facilitate smooth daily operations
Requirements
* Proven office experience with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
* Experience with data entry and general clerical duties within a care or healthcare setting is desirable
* Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently
* Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* Previous administrative experience in a care home or similar environment is advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of confidentiality protocols and data protection legislation
