Lead Clinician – Occupational Therapist
Location: Bankside College – Worcestershire, WR8 0AD.
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE). Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinically lead the in‑house occupational therapy team, working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead.
- Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex neurodivergent needs, including autism, developmental trauma and SEMH, and support the implementation of EHCP plans.
- Hold a clinical caseload while providing service development input for the school‑based service.
- Coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead service development in partnership with the school SLT.
- Produce clear and concise clinical and research report writing.
- Provide supervision and support to the therapy team, ensuring independence and dynamic growth of the clinical service.
- Collaborate with multi‑professional teams and services within the designated specialty.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy.
- Registered Practitioner with the HCPC or an approved governing body.
- Valid and up to date professional registration and membership of a recognised body (e.g., BPS).
- Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
- Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
- Ability to work independently, dynamically and within a growing clinical service.
