Family Solicitor / Legal Executive | 2–6 PQE | East Sussex | Eastbourne/Hybrid

A well-established, award-winning regional firm in East Sussex is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor or FCILEx to join its expanding Family team. The firm has built a strong reputation across the South Coast for its approachable culture, quality of work and long-standing client relationships, with much of its workload generated through referrals and repeat instructions.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a busy and respected family team handling a varied private family caseload, including:

• Divorce and financial remedy work
• Civil partnership dissolution
• Pre and post-nuptial agreements
• Cohabitation and separation agreements
• Financial settlements and negotiations

This is a role where you are expected to take ownership from day one, managing matters independently while still being backed by experienced colleagues when needed. The work is varied, client-facing and relationship-led, with a strong emphasis on delivering practical, supportive advice to individuals often going through complex personal circumstances.

You’ll be working closely with senior lawyers in the team, with real scope to shape your role, build your profile locally and get involved in the continued growth of the department.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx with 2+ years’ PQE (ideally up to c7 years PQE, however more senior Family Lawyers are encouraged to apply)
• Confident managing a private family caseload independently
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Comfortable with business development and networking
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to grow within a supportive team
