Youâll get hands-on experience at the UKâs leading Utility and Infrastructure Surveying Firm, working on various exciting projects across airports, road, rail, water, telecoms and power. You will join a super dynamic team, who will fully support you through your studies and help you achieve your future career ambitions. \n\nWhat is Surveying?\n\nSurveyors advise clients on legal issues relating to land and property. They value the assets of farms and estates, in addition to wider land and property management. The professional service advice they provide to clients on challenges around land ownership, compensation claims, and potential project risks is extremely valuable to the client, and critical to ensure infrastructure projects are able to go ahead in the most safe and effective way. This unique combination offers an integrated experience, where practical skills and knowledge gained during the university days can be embedded in your working practices. Skills learned directly in the workplace are aligned with and can be applied to coursework and assessment. This allows you to attain an honours degree in 4 years, the same time as traditional full-time students. \n\nYou will study on a Graduate Apprenticeship degree programme towards a BSc (Hons) Construction & the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University. \n\nReal Estate Surveying - combines real estate surveying with valuation, planning and development. It studies how commercial and residential property markets work and draws upon the economics of the real estate sector to gain knowledge of how they develop \n\nAs you progress through the course, more of your job role will be used to gain credit towards your final award. This is captured in the Professional Practice modules which allow us to personalise your learning to ensure it meets your needs, those of your employing organisation and the university. The successful candidate will:\n- Have a full UK driving licence\u202Fand their own transport\n- Be passionate about delivering a sustainable future\n- Be a keen learner who is comfortable tackling new challenges in a fun environment\n- Enjoy collaborating with others\n- Have great attention to detail\n\nTo meet our Standard Entry Requirements you must have EITHER: \n- A minimum of four SQA Highers at Grade BBCC (including Maths) plus Nat 5 English at B \n- A Foundation Apprenticeship in a related discipline plus suitable academic qualifications \n- A Modern Apprenticeship or college qualification in in a related discipline\u202F \n- Sufficient recognition of prior learning (RPL) through industry-related experience, qualifications, and informal learning. RPL applications are considered on an individual basis \n- You must be able to provide proof of any qualifications stated on your CV to meet university entry requirements. \n- Advanced entry into Year 2 or 3 is possible for students with suitable qualifications. If applying for advanced entry, you will need to provide sufficient evidence of qualifications and experience through our process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
