Location: London, waterside (Remote)
Contract ended: upto 12 months
Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week)
Rate: £600-700 per day through UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)
Job purpose:
Client is advancing its cyber security capabilities and is seeking an experienced SailPoint Engineer to support a high-volume onboarding project. The successful candidate will help govern and onboard a large and complex application estate onto SailPoint Identity Security, replacing legacy governance tooling and enabling stronger, more centralised identity controls across the organisation.
This role is hands-on, requiring strong SailPoint technical skills, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to operate in a high-paced delivery environment.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead the onboarding of applications into SailPoint Identity Security, using tools such as the SailPoint Bulk Uploader.
* Collaborate with business analysts, delivery leads, and business change to help prioritise the backlog of applications for onboarding.
* Manage and troubleshoot complex onboarding scenarios, including applications shared across multiple operating companies (OpCos) within the IAG group.
* Support refinement sessions to break down onboarding tasks and ensure smooth delivery across the backlog.
* Optimise and enhance existing SailPoint configuration to support evolving requirements and increase onboarding efficiency.
* Ensure successful integration of Entra ID-aligned applications into SailPoint, accounting for co-existence and data synchronisation needs.
* Coordinate with business change teams to ensure effective communication with stakeholders before onboarding activities take place.
* Maintain accurate records of onboarding status via JIRA and related tooling.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience working with SailPoint Identity Security, particularly application onboarding and entitlement modelling.
* Proficiency in using SailPoint features such as Bulk Uploader, certifications, and connector configuration.
* Demonstrable experience in high-volume onboarding projects with varied levels of application complexity.
* Comfortable working in an environment with legacy systems, missing documentation, and ambiguity.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and experience with coexistence of identity sources.
* Experience working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business change teams.
* Ability to troubleshoot onboarding issues and propose scalable solutions for recurring patterns.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Experience
* Experience migrating from legacy identity governance platforms to SailPoint.
Candidate Profile
* We’re seeking a confident, delivery-focused SailPoint engineer who can hit the ground running. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working to onboard and govern applications at pace, helping client replace legacy systems and strengthen its identity controls. Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and technical fluency in SailPoint are essential for success in this role. You need to be a self starter as you’ll be the only Engineer working on this for now – but you will have other Engineers within Cyber to support you if required
