Overview
White Horse Employment is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing international business. This is a hands-on role working closely with the Finance Manager, covering core accounting, financial reporting, and project/contract financial oversight. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and clear visibility of financial risk.
This is a hands-on accounting role, working within an SME environment, so we are looking for an accountant who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into all aspects of SME accounting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage general ledger accounting, including accruals and prepayments
* Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations
* Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) to support revenue recognition
* Support monthly invoicing and contract/project financial tracking
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable
* Manage fixed assets, cash flow monitoring, and VAT filings
About You
* Strong accounting experience in an international environment
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivelant)
* Good understanding of WIP principles and revenue recognition
* Knowledge of IFRS (specifically IFRS-16) and core accounting processes (AP/AR, reconciliations, close)
* Comfortable working with contracts, projects, and complex financial data
* Advanced Excel skills
