About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing engaging activities for our Residents, assisting the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and encouraging Residents to socialise and participate in activities based on their hobbies. You will work collaboratively with the care home team, always demonstrating kindness and consideration.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, and strong planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be able to manage your time effectively and communicate with Residents and colleagues with kindness and respect.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what actions to take, attend safeguarding training, and report concerns appropriately.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG check.
* Free uniform.
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
* Group life assurance.
* Wagestream for flexible access to pay.
* Learning and development opportunities, including qualifications.
* Access to GP online services.
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores.
* Employee Assistance Programme for support with physical, mental, and financial issues.
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards.
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per referral.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We aim for a quick onboarding process from offer to start date.
