We are seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE) to join our fast-paced environment. The CxE will support the construction and commissioning of Amazon data centers, ensuring quality and compliance with engineering standards. Responsibilities include supporting vendors, contractors, and teams involved in systems such as:
* Medium and low voltage power systems
* Generators
* UPS
* HVAC systems
* Chilled Water Systems
* Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
* Testing and balancing
(U.S Citizenship Required)
Additional job requirements include the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the year.
Key Responsibilities
The CxE will oversee testing and validation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure, review design documents, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and manage third-party vendors during onsite testing. The role involves resolving technical issues, managing project milestones, and reporting progress. The CxE will also audit vendor activities for compliance, share lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement of the commissioning process.
During projects, the CxE coordinates with engineering, capacity delivery, operations, and contractors to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and ensure successful project completion. The role requires managing vendor activities, escalating risks, and communicating lessons learned to improve future projects.

Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or commissioning of electrical/mechanical systems
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
* High technical competency in electrical, mechanical, or control systems for critical infrastructure
* Ability to review design documents and develop or review commissioning documentation
Preferred Qualifications
* Effective communication, organization, and ability to work under stress
* Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
* Experience with construction documents and testing procedures
* Alignment with Amazon’s leadership principles and technical complexity
