Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – Up to £550 per week
Location: Birmingham Secondary School
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

We are working with an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a Physics graduate seeking meaningful classroom experience before moving into teacher training or further academic study.

Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

* Supporting students in KS3 and KS4 Physics and General Science
* Assisting with lab preparation, experiments, and classroom resources
* Providing small group and 1:1 academic support
* Encouraging students’ scientific thinking and enquiry-based learning
* Collaborating with Science teachers to enhance lesson delivery
* Helping ensure safety and engagement during practical sessions
* Contributing to science clubs or wider STEM enrichment activities

Graduate Physics Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

* A 2:1 degree or above in Physics or a related subject
* A passion for science communication and learning
* Experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, mentoring, tutoring)
* Strong subject knowledge and a detail-oriented mindset
* Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to education
* Keen interest in pursuing a career in teaching or science education
