- £61,700 Leyland Days Only (Mon-Fri) gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a HGV Mechanic to work at their facility based near Leyland Performance Objections Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, repairs & MOTs on HGV's, Trailers, Pool Cars & Other Plant to VOSA standard Diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical & electrical faults using Texa diagnostic equipment Dismantle, repair/replace faulty components and test the new ones are working safely Liaise with HGV workshop administrator to order vehicle parts Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and accurate records are maintained.
Good communication and maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment Person Specification 8 Years of HGV/Plant Technician experience Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent Holds valid HGV Class 1 (C&E) Licence (Desirable) MOT Preparation Experience
- Tractor Units & Trailers Previous experience working with HGV's and Plant, basic welding skills, hydraulic & auto electrical skills Ability to lead a small team as well as use own initiative to work independently.
Hardworking and can work well under pressure in a safe and responsible manner IRTEC Accreditation (Desirable) Loler competence
- experience in undertaking loler inspections
