Overview
Join to apply for the Specialist Physiotherapist role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Takes a lead role for a designated clinical area with a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge. Has responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality. You will provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers. Has active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.
This role is based in the Integrated Rehabilitation Team within Stewarton House. The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
What you'll need to bring
* Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
* Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring leadership capability
* Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery
* Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
* Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* Car driver with valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence if relevant to the post

Contract type
Permanent, Part Time (23.68 hours). Salary pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
