Job Description
3. Lead and manage financial due diligence assignments for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
4. Perform and review detailed financial analysis to assess business performance and risks.
5. Identify key deal issues and provide clear, commercial insights to clients.
6. Draft and review high-quality due diligence reports for client delivery.
7. Liaise with clients, target businesses, and other professional advisors throughout the transaction process.
8. Support new business generation and contribute to the growth of the Transaction Services team.
9. Ensure client acceptance and engagement processes are properly completed.
10. Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
11. Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS) and apply technical knowledge effectively.
12. Collaborate with colleagues across the consulting teams to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Due Diligence Manager should have:
13. Previous experience in Transaction Services or financial due diligence, ideally within a professional services firm.
14. Exposure to Financial Services or TMT sector deals, with a strong interest in focusing on this area.
15. Experience across a variety of transaction types and deal sizes.
16. Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
17. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
18. Ability to identify commercial insights and key deal issues.
19. Client-facing experience, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
20. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
21. Ideally holds a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
22. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
