Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a dynamic kitchen environment. Duties
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure seamless operations.
* Develop and implement menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
* Train new staff members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
Experience
* Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within the hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential for leading a diverse kitchen team.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
