Bookkeeper
Witney £30,000 - £45,000 FTE (Depending on Experience) Part‑Time or Full‑Time ConsideredA well‑established independent accountancy practice in Witney is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to support its growing client base.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and long‑standing team where flexibility, trust and work‑life balance are genuinely embedded into the culture.The firm works with a broad range of owner‑managed businesses and private clients and is looking for somebody who enjoys working with multiple clients rather than focusing on the finances of a single business.
The Role
You will work closely with clients and colleagues to provide bookkeeping support across a varied portfolio. Responsibilities will include:
* Bookkeeping for a range of clients
* Bank reconciliations
* VAT returns
* Supporting clients with cloud accounting software
* Assisting clients with Making Tax Digital requirements
* Liaising directly with business owners
* Maintaining accurate accounting records
* Supporting the wider accounts and tax teams where required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice environment. The firm is particularly interested in speaking with candidates who:
* Have experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients
* Are confident with cloud accounting software
* Have strong organisational skills
* Enjoy client interaction
* Can work independently and manage their own workload
Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar software would be beneficial.

This is an independent firm with around 30 staff across two offices and a reputation for looking after its people.
