Overview
Technical Manager (Applied Engineering) role is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering professional to lead and oversee the technical aspects of projects, teams, and operations within the delivery of the site-based technical consultancy area of the business. This role will involve managing and growing the consultancy side of the business, supporting lead generation and sales efforts, and fostering cross-functional collaboration, particularly with laboratory activities. The Technical Manager (Applied Engineering) will also act as an expert in specific engineering areas, applying practical technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to deliver business objectives and drive organisational success. This includes developing, growing, and nurturing staff, as well as expanding technical knowledge and providing guidance to ensure high standards of performance and innovation across the team.

To be considered for the role Technical Manager (Applied Engineering):
* Degree in Engineering (Designer, Operational, Contractor) or previous building services experience (design, construction & operations).
* Strong technical expertise in building services engineering with industry reputation & network.
* Skilled in project management, delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communicator with proven ability to lead meetings, collaborate & influence at all levels.
* Strong writing skills (reports, bids, publications) with keen attention to detail & quality.
