ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is currently on the lookout for a skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor to become a valuable addition to their team. In this role, you’ll be at the helm of the financial intricacies of M&E contracts, meticulously crafting cost reports, and fostering strong collaborations with clients and stakeholders alike. With a chance to dive into a variety of projects spanning across London and the southeast, this opportunity promises an exciting journey ahead.
M&E Quantity Surveyor key responsibilities:
1. Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients
2. Preparing and submitting payment applications along with supporting information
3. Assessing and negotiating variations in project scope
4. Procuring subcontract packages and managing subcontract agreements
5. Conducting monthly valuation of subcontractor applications for payment
6. Finalizing project accounts
7. Monitoring all project costs and ensuring project margins are safeguarded
8. Identifying potential risks and opportunities
9. Drafting and submitting claims or notifications as per contract requirements
10. Providing monthly financial reports
REQUIREMENTS
11. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Electrical Quantity Surveying
12. ONC, HNC, BSc, or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying
13. Proficiency in financial management, budget analysis, and cost estimation
14. Ability to prepare monthly valuations and variation quotations.
15. Excellent communication skills and the ability to attend client and site meetings.
16. Willingness to travel between Essex and London locations as required.
