Overview
Title: Bookkeeper
Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time (approx. 4 hours per week)
Location: Inverness/Home Based
Salary: £20 per hour depending on experience
Duties
* Input and reconciliation of accounts using Sage Financial Software.
* Bank account reconciliations.
* Preparation of VAT returns.
* Reconciling the purchase ledger and dealing with supplier queries.
* Raising and forwarding sales invoices.
* Payroll administration.
* Updating accurate and up to date files.
* Ensuring all records are input and reconciled accurately and within data regulations.
* Liaising with the external accountants to assist with year end preparation and audit.
* Assisting with the compilation of monthly reports including budgets.
* Additional ad hoc accounting duties.
Person specification
* Previous experience in a bookkeeping/accounts related role.
* Strong IT skills including financial software systems, preferably Sage.
* Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills.
* Capable of working alone and managing a personal workload.
* Reliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
