Title: Identity and Access Management Engineer
Location: Northampton, UK
Type: Hybrid (2 Days onsite)
Salary: Up to £420 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Until the end of December 2025Key Responsibilities:
* Design & Implementation: Develop scalable IAM solutions with ISIM, covering user provisioning, de-provisioning, and RBAC.
* Java Integration: Create and maintain Java-based connectors, workflows, and custom business logic for IAM processes.
* System Integration: Interface ISIM with enterprise systems, third-party IDPs, databases, and LDAP directories.
* Security Compliance: Apply best practices aligned with GDPR, HIPAA, and other standards.
* Troubleshooting & Optimisation: Monitor and resolve issues, improving system performance and efficiency.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside security, infrastructure, and development teams to build cohesive solutions.
* Innovation: Stay up to date on IAM technologies, contributing to continuous architectural improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience with IAM platforms, particularly IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) or alternatives like Ping Identity or Microsoft Identity Manager.
* Strong understanding of IAM protocols such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
* Java development skills with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
* Background in IAM administration: provisioning, role management, and access reviews.
* Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
* Demonstrated experience working in large, multi-system enterprise environments.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
