AUDIT AND TAX MANAGER With its global presence, Medik8 is an established leader in the science-backed skincare space. As Audit and Tax Manager, your contribution will help to expedite our growth as you will be responsible for overseeing, supervising, and certifying all the operations of the Finance, Accounting and Tax functions of the business, always with a compliance and commercial view. Reporting directly to our Head of Finance, you will lead audit and statutory accounts preparation and group tax compliance. We foster innovation and positively embrace change so combining a methodical mentality and agile approach is critical to keep us ahead of the competition. The ideal candidate will be purpose-driven and results-oriented but also willing to get stuck in and roll their sleeves up to make things happen. In more detail your role will include: Audit Prepare and maintain console workings with intercompany elimination schedules Review audit journals and prepare posting schedule Prepare further auditable support documentation required Manage sampling data requests and liaising with internal team Liaison between auditors and internal teams to track timely delivery status of audit requests. Prepare full statutory accounts for the group (consolidated and stand-alone) UK & EU Indirect Tax Manage VAT compliance across the UK and EU, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns. Oversee EU VAT registrations and reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Monitor and interpret indirect tax legislative changes across the UK and EU and assess business impacts with external tax advisors. Support business initiatives with VAT advice. US Indirect Tax Oversee sales and use tax compliance across relevant US states, including registration, return filing, and nexus analysis with external tax advisors with the intention to in-house Manage exemptions, resale certificates, and audit trails for US tax purposes. Monitor state-level nexus and legislative changes and work with external advisors to ensure compliance. General & Cross-Regional Leading CT workstreams and data gathering in all jurisdictions and collaborating with external tax advisors Owner of Tax calendar and all relevant fillings (PAYE, P11d, ERS, Plastic Tax, etc.) Act as a key point of contact for tax matters with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Liaise with tax authorities and tax advisers in the UK, EU, and US, managing audits, queries, and correspondence. Drive continuous improvement and automation in indirect tax processes, leveraging ERP systems and tax engines (e.g., Avalara). Ensure that tax risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated across jurisdictions. We would love to hear from you if you Have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable technical accounting knowledge. Have prior experience with Caseware is desirable and experience with Avalara is advantageous Have an audit/practise background (preferred). Have experience of leading and delivering external audits preferably in a PE backed environment. Have experience working in a group company. Are experienced in the delivery and tracking of multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines. Have a proven track record of preparing statutory accounts for group companies. Have experience with UK, US and EU taxes (direct and indirect).
