Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Cafe Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with various tasks in our café environment. Your contributions will be essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that all food and beverage offerings meet our high standards.
You must be able to provide your own transport and be non-reliant on public transport as we are based in a rural location. We will be expectant of the employee to work weekends and half term weeks. This would be the perfect job opportunity for uni students and those who are in further education E.G. sixth form/college.
Responsibilities
* Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items are served fresh and to a high standard.
* Provide exceptional service to customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including dining spaces.
* Support catering services during events, helping to set up and serve food as required.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards at all times.
* Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Skills
* Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred but not necessary
* Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
