Job Purpose
You'll ensure that high-quality information is produced to underpin the Network Delivery objective to proactively drive water network performance, optimising the network and its associated assets, whilst minimising customer disruption. You'll support the Water Network Performance Manager, Network Performance Engineer and Technical Support Officer in the analysis of network performance information and identifying areas for operational optimisation and improvement.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for proactively tracking network performance through the provision and analysis of accurate and up-to-date data (from such systems as the NSCADA dashboard) to underpin the DOMS+ process as well as creating engineer packs to provide the Network Performance Engineer with a clear insight into water quality deviations and asset failures for further evaluation and the construction of programmes of investment. You'll also be responsible for:
* Maintaining accurate audit trails in DOMS+ and ensure Tier 1 and Tier 2 tracking systems meet compliance standards.
* Investigating DMZ pressure reports and DG3 failures using systems like Hydrosave and INS, identifying root causes and raising follow-up work as needed.
* Demonstrating strong safety behaviours, support audits and investigations and uphold site safety standards across the team.
* Liaising effectively with Network TSO's and support the Network Performance Engineer in monthly pressure meetings and performance reporting.
* Investigating water quality issues, report findings to the Drinking Water Regulations team and ensure consistent application of company procedures and policies.
Technical Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you'll need to have extensive and relevant water network technical and analytical experience as well as a high level of technical knowledge to ensure continued quality of outputs; knowledge of the regulatory framework in which the business operates is important to maintain compliance with all legislative and regulatory standards. You'll also:
* Be confident in working independently, managing workload effectively and meeting strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Have strong analytical reasoning, numeracy, IT literacy skills and the ability to solve a wide range of technical and data-related problems.
* Have excellent teamwork ad interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage others to meet deadlines and deliver results.
* Be proficient in business systems such as INS, Aquavista, OMS and be a skilled user of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high performance under pressure, contributing to the company's goal of being a leading water and wastewater service provider.
