An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development and Improvement Project Manager. You will work alongside Service Managers, Clinical Leads and Operational Teams, as well as Executive and Clinical and Care Directors, Programme Management Office, Commissioners and external stakeholders within the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Care Group areas. The purpose of this role is to support the day‑to‑day management of the Care Group's Programme Plan and therefore requires a high capability for project planning, complex document production, research and project management competence. You will be an initiative‑taking collaborator, dedicated to supporting the provision of high‑quality services. You must possess strong organisational skills, be able to deliver objectives within an agreed timeframe, have excellent people and communication skills to maintain effective communication links and have a flexible approach to the evolving needs of the service. You support and facilitate the progress of managing a range of projects across multiple services and agencies, with a strong focus on digital transformation, supporting the NHS priority of moving from analogue to digital and enabling safe, effective and efficient service delivery. It is essential that you have previous NHS experience and knowledge of Service Developments.
Main duties of the job
* Establish and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure, monitoring milestones and outcomes, managing risks and issues, recommending modifications to project scope or exception reporting to enable the successful delivery of the project.
* Ensure effective project closure including benefits realisation, lessons learned and ensuring ongoing operational sustainability.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and transformation to be enabled across services leading to improvements for service users.
* Resolve problems that arise during the projects and escalating any problems that cannot be resolved to the appropriate person or group.
* Live the values of our organisation and display the key behaviours in all aspects of work.
* Lead and support projects with a key digital focus, championing digital inclusion and accessibility ensuring changes work for patients/service users, carers and staff with different needs.

Qualifications
* Relevant post‑graduate professional qualification in a Service or Quality Improvement, or Project Management discipline and in‑depth practical experience or equivalent proven practical experience.
Experience
* Experience of working within a project environment and completing projects to the required targets for time, cost and quality.
* Experience of leading, preparing and delivering bids/tenders/business cases.
* Experience of delivering digital‑enabled service improvement / transformation (e.g., digitising pathways, reducing reliance on paper, implementing electronic forms/workflows).
* Experience in the NHS.
Skills
* Able to support and lead the delivery of programmes within and across diverse groups and individuals in relation to the implementation of cultural change.
* Ability to prioritise and deliver work of a high quality, to tight timescales and manage conflicting priorities.
* Experience of delivering digital transformation in healthcare settings and an understanding of good practice in digital change adoption (engagement, training, superusers, communications) and benefits realisation.
* An understanding of NHS systems, applications, processes and challenges.
