Site Services Engineer Location: Wrexham
Salary: £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
A well-established food production company in Wrexham is seeking an experienced Site Services Engineer to manage site-wide maintenance activities and ensure full compliance with hygiene, food safety, and operational standards.
This is a key position within the engineering function, supporting production by maintaining critical site services and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all site services and facilities to support production operations
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to site service breakdowns
Maintain and support utilities and infrastructure including steam, air, water, refrigeration, and waste systems
Support audits and inspections, ensuring documentation and compliance standards are met
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
Manage contractors and external service providers as required
Support operational teams to minimise downtime and ensure site performance Key Requirements
Strong engineering background (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
Experience in site services or facilities maintenance, ideally within food or FMCG manufacturing
Good knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and compliance requirements
Proven fault-finding and maintenance capability
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Relevant engineering qualifications (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) What’s on Offer
